I know Clive looks very content there with his toast and Marmite, but I'm not sure I'm going to like it. If I don't like it spread on toast, though, I'm going to try it as an ingredient in some of my recipes (I don't like waste!). I have rather that same look on my face as Clive when I'm having homemade marmalade on toast. I loved Mary's comment above about the lutefisk looking "like it was recovered from an organ donation center" - I'm definitely not up to giving that a go!Jean | Delightful Repasthttp://delightfulrepast.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3713948124674580839.post-11665687570777312832013-01-11T13:03:05.294-08:002013-01-11T13:03:05.294-08:00This is a new one on me. There was an article in the paper about lutefisk that is eaten by Scandanavians and looks like it was recovered from an organ donation center. If you're not a Scandanavian, it just won't go down! Maybe, it's the same with Marmite and Englishmen! Happy New Year! I don't think she ever got any "takers" in our household, don't think I even tried it. But it's high time I did. Though there have been a couple of times I've pulled it off the shelf, my practical side kicked in and said "You probably won't like it, and it'll just go to waste." But now you've inspired me, especially with the photo of Clive who looks as if he's enjoying a very special treat. Especially since you said it never goes off, I can just tuck it away and try it every so often to see if my taste has changed.
