I learned a French style of cursive handwriting when I was a child from the Christian Teaching Brothers in Southampton who were a French order.Italic styles tend to be a little more like joined printing. They do not have loops but have joins at the top and bottom of the letters similer to cursive. <br />By the way, I will show you around London anytime!!!!!You can come home and have a cup of tea and a piece of my homemade cake with Marilyn and I.TONYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07767998391294014275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3713948124674580839.post-77313098880548120752016-02-25T09:24:12.070-08:002016-02-25T09:24:12.070-08:00Tony, how I would love going on these explorations...Tony, how I would love going on these explorations! Of course, I can never see a picture of a London bus without thinking of the episode of The Good Life when Tom's cockerel Lenin hopped on a bus in Surbiton. Lovely to see a handwritten diary. Not sure what you mean by mixture of cursive and italic styles. I recently read that US schools will no longer be teaching handwriting (cursive)--I guess everyone will just print (perhaps that is what you call "italic"?).
