The photographs look wonderful.

Scattered about my blog are some other Jane related articles. Some about Bath and others about various themes. If you use the search box they should be listed. Jane Austen Today, and, Jane Austen's World, both blogs written by Vic in Virginia, are wonderful by the way.

All the best,
TonyTONYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07767998391294014275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3713948124674580839.post-26769479432463808682010-10-04T12:18:34.161-07:002010-10-04T12:18:34.161-07:00I don't find an email for you, so am leaving t...I don't find an email for you, so am leaving this second comment with a link to my updated blog . . . and it's link to your post. When I visited Chawton about two and a half years ago, now. I was told that photographs were discouraged, except if taken discretely. I interpreted that to mean, if taken unseen . . . I am ever so sorry about that! I only took one inside, of her writing table! Thank you that I now have your photographs to refresh my memory! I love them! You have done me such a fine favor! Thank you! Thank you!
~Debbi

P.S. I am providing a link from my blog to yours. Of course, if this is not acceptable, I will remove it. I like how you describe your journey to Chawton though Hogsback, with Jane's words added in.

It seems that they change the furniture and the exhibits in Chawton Cottage, as the rooms don't seem to exhibit all the same items as in my visit - tho only 2 months apart!

I love the milestone photo, and it was interesting to read the bit about thatching and building materials and about English country gardens.

Chawton does make a lovely day trip (instead of very busy places like the Cotswolds for example) for any visitor to England!Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03945462611904903179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3713948124674580839.post-45461736662055072402010-05-13T08:31:48.366-07:002010-05-13T08:31:48.366-07:00You are welcome Raquel.
