La Mer by Charles Trenet

,

Close your eyes and think of a sunset glimmering on The Channel , the coast of France in the distance . You know, it's the 1940's.

"float and glide, float and glide."

It does the heart good.

  1. Tony, That was lovely. I think I'll post it on my website. In my post on Austen Authors, I mentioned that my three older sisters would watch Dick Clark's American Bandstand every afternoon after school, and the three younger sisters would be their dance partners. So I know all of the songs from the fifties. It does bring back memories.
